The aim is not perfection, but a more grounded way to meet what each day asks of you.The work is to become a little steadier, a little more present, and a little harder to knock off center.It is not a quick fix, but a practice of becoming more present, balanced, and rooted over time.

Hi, I'm Blake. I've been a lot of things in my life: a communications consultant, an entrepreneur, an infantryman, a musician, and a martial arts/fitness professional.Now I'm trying to take what I've learned from all of those things and put them together to serve my community in whatever way I can.Let's do some good in the world!

About Me
I've lived most of my life in the Metro Atlanta area. I dropped out of college back in 2008 to join the Army and spent some time in Afghanistan. I was able to go back to school in 2010, and graduated with a degree in English and Creative Writing from College of Charleston.I went to work in Startup World and was honored when my Mom came to me and asked me to Co-found a company with her that we eventually sold. During this time, I spent many years as caregiver for my Dad who eventually died of Alzheimer's and Dementia.Training traditional Chinese martial arts has given me great peace and balance in my life, whether it was stressful moments running a business, doing the sometimes heartbreaking tasks involved in caring for a family member who is terminally ill, or dealing with trauma from time in uniform.It is this peace and balance I've found that I wish to share with the world. As such, I have been training with my Tai Chi teacher, Bao Laoshi, for several years and look forward to sharing what I've learned with you, that it might help you as it's helped me.
